Powerful Storytelling: Mapping Our Professional Identities To Thrive in Our Work

Wednesday, December 7, 2022 | 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Event Type: Workshop
Location: CETL Lab, 3211 Campus Loop Road
Facilitators: Mandy McGrew and Michele DiPietro

In times of uncertainty, knowing ourselves—who we are, what we stand for, and where we are headed—is essential to cope with ambiguity and shifting landscapes. Identity work helps us examine the various ways we have grown and changed in the past so that we can better see ourselves as being in the middle of our story where things are still messy and dynamic. By acknowledging the various influences in our lives that contribute to the construction of our holistic selves, we can better articulate who we are, and better cope with change and even thrive. In this workshop, we will use a variety of theories and lenses of identity to create an integrated understanding of ourselves as faculty members.
