The Celebration of Teaching Day is an event designed to elevate and amplify teaching
practices and recognize faculty as they cultivate student success at KSU. We hope

Dr. Jeanne Law
Dr. Jeanne Beatrix Law is a Professor of English and Director of First-year Writing
at Kennesaw State University, where she has established herself as a leading voice
in the integration of generative artificial intelligence (genAI) and prompt engineering
for writers. Dr. Law’s recent work connects genAI literacies with student success,
infusing genAI as an open educational resource (OER) into undergraduate and graduate
courses. Dr. Law has also developed a custom GPT for first-year writing programs.
Dr. Law serves as a faculty mentor for the AAC&U Institute on AI Pedagogy. She also
teaches prompt engineering in KSU's Master's in Professional Writing Program and is
coordinating a proposed graduate certificate in AI and Writing.
Dr. Ali Keyvanfar
Dr. Ali Keyvanfar is a faculty member in the Department of Construction Management
at Kennesaw State University with nearly ten years of experience in applying innovative
pedagogical methods for teaching risk management. His research focuses on integrating
computer-aided and group decision-making methods into sustainable construction and
engineering management, with a recent emphasis on developing generative AI-driven
decision support tools. Dr. Ali is dedicated to leveraging technology to foster diversity
and inclusivity in both his teaching and research initiatives.
Dr. Nazmus Sakib
Dr. Nazmus Sakib serves as an Assistant Professor of Information Technology and the
Director of the mHealth Research Lab at Kennesaw State University. With a Ph.D. in
Computational Sciences from Marquette University, Dr. Sakib's core research interests
focus on healthcare informatics, mHealth, and ethical and societal implications of
AI and data. As a passionate educator, Dr. Sakib's pedagogical research centers on
leveraging AI to create holistic classrooms that enhance student learning and job
readiness without compromising academic integrity. He is recognized as a Governor's
Teaching Fellow in 2024 for AI for Holistic Classroom. Dr. Sakib actively contributes
to the field of AI and Pedagogy, serving in funded projects as PI and Co-PI aimed
at preparing the next generation of computing professionals. His teaching philosophy
prioritizes diverse learning styles, empowering students to achieve greater success
and contribute to KSU's national prominence.
Writing Like a Teacher Workshops
Leading up to the Celebration of Teaching Day, CETL has organized two "Writing Like
a Teacher" workshops led by Dr. James Lang. There are two offerings on November 19
