Preparing for Annual Review Meetings: Communication, Negotiation, and the Faculty-Chair Relationship

Preparing the necessary documents is only the first step of the Annual Review Process. Once our case is laid out on paper, we need to present it to the chair. Since so much relies on those conversations, we want to make sure we are well prepared for them. This workshop will present strategies to effectively advocate for ourselves, negotiate toward specific goals, and respond with empathy and clarity in case of differing perspectives in order to nurture a long-term relationship with our chair.
