Small Changes for a Big Impact: Using Transparent Assignment Design in STEM Courses

Tuesday, January 28, 2020 | 2:00 - 3:15 p.m.

Event Type: Workshop
Campus: Kennesaw
Location: CETL House, 3211 Campus Loop Rd

Facilitator: Mandy McGrew

When we assign students a project or activity, we often take for granted that they will understand what we are asking them to do and why. Students do not always have the skills and ability to determine this, though, which is why writing assignments with a clear purpose, that explain the task in full, and provide the criteria on which students will be evaluated is so important. This informational webinar will provide a brief primer on what TILT means and how you can make a small change in your course that could have a big impact on student learning!
