A student or staff member confides in you about being harassed by another student, a professor or staff member. Is KSU on notice of alleged misconduct prohibited by its policies? Many senior-level leaders are unclear about notice, especially if brought to them under the guise of a private, personal or confidential conversation. In this session, Legal Affairs and OIE will demystify the concept of notice. You will learn how to recognize when you, as a responsible reporter, are on notice about a complaint and the next steps you are required to take in handling the reported conduct.
