We know from the literature on faculty success that faculty are more likely to thrive in terms of teaching, productivity, wellbeing, and success in promotion and tenure when they are supported by their colleagues. This support can come in many forms, from one-on-one friendships and mentoring to affinity and accountability groups. It is also essential within the context of faculty meetings, committee work, and group negotiation. This webinar will foreground the goal of equity as participants consider the literature on supporting colleagues in all of their faculty roles. They will then identify steps for personal and team/departmental development in this regard.
