It's About Engagement! Critical Reflection Essay Rating

CETL is pleased to be able to support assessment of KSU's It’s About Engagement student critical reflection essays by offering a 1/2 day norming session to prepare faculty to complete ratings of these essays.

During the norming session, faculty will learn to use the It’s About Engagement Critical Reflection Rubric to rate example student reflections collected from It’s About Engagement! courses. Following the norming session, ratings of student reflections must be completed by the due date in order to receive funding.

Reflection essays will be provided by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness from selected representative courses within the It’s About Engagement program and may come from any one of the three areas of It’s About Engagement:

  • undergraduate research,
  • service learning, or
  • internships/co-ops.
