Maintaining Academic Integrity in our Current Contexts

Friday, September 30, 2022 | 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Event Type: Webinar
Facilitators: Phillip Boyd, Beth Kirsner, and Mandy McGrew

Maintaining academic integrity is a priority shared by all of us at KSU. While faculty are expected to minimize instances of academic misconduct and address those they suspect have occurred, a variety of barriers may prevent them from doing this. This session aims to eliminate some of those barriers by opening a dialogue about why academic misconduct occurs, the kinds of violations students might be engaging in, how we can work to avoid these issues, and what exactly to do if you suspect misconduct. KSU’s official process for handling academic misconduct and how following that process protects you from unpleasant outcomes will be discussed. Session presenters include a faculty member, Student Conduct and Academic Integrity assistant director, and CETL teaching consultant to represent a variety of perspectives on academic misconduct. Join us to discuss your questions and concerns about this timely and important topic.
