New Faculty Orientation FAQs
See the frequently asked questions regarding New Faculty Orientation below. If you have any further questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is attendance required? What if I am not new to KSU?
All employees who are new to KSU or are changing roles at KSU are asked to attend the New Faculty Orientation. Employees who have previously attended the New Faculty Orientation facilitated by KSU CETL in a different role are advised to review the agenda and attend the sessions that look like they will be of value to you at this point in your KSU career.
What if I can't attend?
If you cannot attend, contact your supervisor to let them know.
I am a part-timer and work during the day, what should I do?
Faculty who are part-time employees should contact their KSU supervisor to find out what their expectations are for participation in New Faculty Orientation.
What do I do if I need accommodations for accessibility, a lactation room, etc.?
Please submit your accommodation request via email to email@example.com.
Will sessions be recorded during the event?
No, sessions will not be recorded.
Why isn't my email or D2L account set up yet?
Completing the Human Resources onboarding process for new employees will enable you to setup essential access to KSU Systems (NetID, email, etc). To initiate this process, make an appointment with HR via email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 470-578-6030, and visit the HR Onboarding Portal.
If you have already completed the HR new employee onboarding process and still do not have essential access to KSU systems, contact University Information Technology Services (UITS) at 470-578-6999 or email, email@example.com. If UITS tells you that you are not yet set up in the system, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 470.578.6030 to let HR know.
Please note that it may take several days for your access to be set up once you complete the HR new employee onboarding process.

Once you have access to KSU systems, you may purchase your parking permit via: https://www.kennesaw.edu/parking/parking-information/faculty-staff-permits.php
Do I need a parking permit to attend New Faculty Orientation?
