Growing Faculty Capacity with Learning Analytics

Developed at KSU, uHoo Analytics is a learning analytics platform designed to assist faculty in improving instruction. By gathering data from both the learning management and the student information systems, it helps faculty identify challenges, diagnose issues, predict outcomes, and plan targeted interventions. By automating data collection and equipping faculty with the mindset of a learning scientist, faculty can leverage their research skills to enhance course materials and teaching methods. This not only improves instructional effectiveness but also enables timely interventions for students. Additionally as learning analytics become more prevalent in higher education, institutions have the opportunity to re-introduce the scholarship of teaching and learning to their campuses.
