Using Interactive Whiteboards for Student Collaboration, Engagement, and Assessment

Thursday, October 1, 2020 | 12:30 - 1:15 p.m.

Event Type: Webinar
Facilitator: David Glassmeyer

Including small group work is a common and research-based instructional practice. However, many digital environments do not easily allow small groups of students to record ideas in a collaborative space that can be viewed, shared, and saved with the entire class. This presentation details a solution I’ve been using this semester: digital whiteboards. I will provide an example in the context of teaching mathematics, overview available (free) digital whiteboards websites, and describe how this approach aligns with research on engaging and assessing students.
